Description

This chicken pepper pineapple dish from the Thermomix® is a sweet and sour main course with chicken breast fillet, peppers and pineapple, served with rice. Preparation takes about 75 minutes and yields 4 servings. Ideal as a family meal or for lovers of Asian cuisine. The combination of meat and vegetables makes it a balanced meal. The simple preparation in the Thermomix® saves time and effort.

Ingredients (21 ingredients)

  • 500 g Chicken breast fillet
  • 1 Stück orange Pepper
  • 1 Stück red Pepper
  • 1 kl. Can of pineapple pieces (drained weight 142 g)
  • 1 EL Soy sauce
  • 1 TL Honey
  • Pepper, ground
  • 200 g Long grain rice, parboiled
  • 2 EL Chicken soup, clear (instant powder)
  • 1200 g Water, lukewarm
  • 200 g Cooking liquid
  • 25 g Tomato ketchup
  • 1 EL Fish sauce
  • 1 TL Soy sauce
  • 1 EL Apple vinegar
  • 10 g Honey
  • 1 EL Cornstarch
  • 1 Prise Salt
  • 1 TL Curry powder
  • 0.25 TL Ginger, ground
  • 1 TL Brown sugar

Preparation (10 steps)

Prepare chicken and peppers

Cut chicken breast fillet and peppers into bite-sized pieces. Put in a bowl together with the drained pineapple pieces.

Prepare marinade

Thermomix® Setting

Add 1 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tsp honey and some pepper, ground, to the chicken and pepper pieces. Mix well and leave to marinate for approx. 30 minutes.

Prepare Varoma

Distribute the marinated chicken and pepper pieces in the Varoma and on the insert.

Prepare rice

Weigh 200 g long grain rice, parboiled, into the simmering basket. Add 2 tbsp chicken soup, clear (instant powder).

Fill in water

Put 1200 g water, lukewarm, into the mixing bowl.

Steam cook

Insert simmering basket, put on mixing bowl lid, attach Varoma and cook everything for 22 min./Varoma/speed 1.

Remove Varoma

After the cooking time has elapsed, remove Varoma and set aside. Remove simmering basket. Empty mixing bowl and collect cooking liquid. Set aside 200 g of the cooking liquid.

Prepare sauce

Put 200 g cooking liquid, 25 g tomato ketchup, 1 tbsp fish sauce, 1 tsp soy sauce, 1 tbsp apple vinegar, 10 g honey, 1 tbsp cornstarch, 1 pinch salt, 1 tsp curry powder, 1/4 tsp ginger, ground, and 1 tsp brown sugar in the mixing bowl.

Heat sauce
