Description

With the Thermomix®, fluffy sweet yeast dumplings with vanilla sauce are a breeze. This recipe for desserts mainly uses milk, sugar, yeast, flour and butter. Preparation takes about 120 minutes, of which 45 minutes are active working time, and yields 6 servings. Ideal as a warm dessert, festive pastry or sweet main course for the whole family. Perfect for lovers of yeast pastries and vanilla.

  • 250 ml Milk
  • 50 g Sugar
  • 0.5 Würfel Fresh Yeast
  • 500 g Flour
  • 80 g Soft Butter
  • 1 Stück Egg
  • 1 Prise Salt
  • 1 Glas Plum Butter
  • 50 g Melted Butter
  • 500 ml Milk
  • 200 ml Cream
  • 3 Stück Egg Yolk
  • 50 g Sugar
  • 1 TL Vanilla Extract
  • 2 EL Cornstarch
  • Powdered Sugar

Preparation (9 steps)

Prepare Yeast

Add the milk and sugar to the mixing bowl and heat for 2 min./37°C/speed 1.

Add Yeast

Crumble the fresh yeast into the mixing bowl and mix for 15 sec./speed 2.

Prepare Dough

Add the flour, the soft butter in pieces, the egg and the salt to the mixing bowl and knead for 3 min./kneading setting to a smooth dough.

Let Dough Rise

Transfer the dough to a bowl, cover and let rise in a warm place for about 60 minutes, until the volume has doubled.

Shape Sweet Yeast Dumplings

Knead the dough on a lightly floured work surface and form into a roll. Cut off about 12 pieces of equal size. Form each piece into a ball and flatten with your fingers. Put some plum butter in the middle and close the dough edges well. Place the sweet yeast dumplings with the seam down in a greased baking dish.

Bake Sweet Yeast Dumplings

Brush the sweet yeast dumplings with melted butter and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C top/bottom heat for about 25-30 minutes until golden brown.

Prepare Vanilla Sauce

Add the milk, cream, egg yolk, sugar and vanilla extract to the mixing bowl and cook for 7 min./80°C/speed 3 without a measuring cup.

Thicken Vanilla Sauce

Mix the cornstarch with a little cold water and add to the mixing bowl. Cook for another 1 min./80°C/speed 3.

Serve

Dust the sweet yeast dumplings with powdered sugar and serve warm with the vanilla sauce.
