Description

This cheese cream sauce with ham is a hearty main course that is quick and inexpensive to prepare. The sauce is made with ham, cheese, cream and milk and seasoned with salt, pepper and nutmeg. Ideal for a quick lunch or dinner.

Ingredients (11 ingredients)

  • 200 g Ham
  • 1 EL Flour
  • 100 ml Pasta water
  • 250 ml Cooking cream
  • 100 ml Milk
  • 100 g Grated cheese
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Nutmeg
  • Granulated broth
  • Oil for frying

Preparation (5 steps)

Fry ham

Fry about 200 g of ham in a separate pan with oil and set aside.

Prepare roux

Add 1 tbsp flour to the mixing bowl and sauté for 3 min./100°C/speed 1.

Prepare sauce

5 min/194°F/Speed 2 194°F

Add 100 ml milk, 250 ml cooking cream and 100 ml pasta water to the mixing bowl and cook for 5 min./90°C/speed 2.

Add cheese

Thermomix® Setting
2 min/140°F/Speed 2 140°F

Add 100 g grated cheese to the mixing bowl and stir in for 2 min./60°C/speed 2.

Season and finish

Thermomix® Setting
1 min/140°F/Speed 2 140°F

Add salt, pepper, nutmeg and some granulated broth to the mixing bowl to taste and stir in for 1 min./60°C/speed 2. Add the fried ham and simmer briefly.
