Description

These spicy chicken wings are a guaranteed hit at any party! The crispy wings are coated in a flavorful blend of spices and then deep-fried to golden perfection. The homemade buffalo sauce, with its perfect balance of butter and hot sauce, adds a fiery kick that's simply irresistible. I've been making these for years, and they always disappear in minutes. They're perfect as an appetizer or a main course for a casual get-together. For a milder flavor, reduce the amount of cayenne pepper. Enjoy!

Ingredients (10 ingredients)

  • 0.5 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.25 tsp ground paprika
  • 0.25 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 0.25 tsp salt
  • 10 piece chicken wings
  • 2 cups vegetable oil
  • 0.25 cup butter
  • 0.25 cup hot sauce
  • 1 pinch ground black pepper
  • 1 pinch garlic powder

Preparation (5 steps)

1

Mixing the dry ingredients

Coating the chicken wings

Place 10 chicken wings in a large bowl. Add the flour mixture from the Thermomix and toss until the wings are evenly coated. Transfer the wings to a 9x13-inch glass baking dish and arrange in a single layer. Cover and refrigerate for 1 to 1 1/2 hours.

Preparing the buffalo sauce

Thermomix® Setting
3 min/122°F/Speed 2 50

Add ¼ cup butter, ¼ cup hot sauce, 1 pinch ground black pepper, and 1 pinch garlic powder to the mixing bowl. Cook for 3 Min./50°C/Stufe 2 until the butter is melted and the mixture is thoroughly blended.

Frying the chicken wings

Add about 2 cups vegetable oil to a deep, heavy skillet; heat to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Fry coated wings in the hot oil for 10 to 15 minutes, or until they begin to crisp and turn brown. Maintain the oil temperature while cooking. Remove cooked wings from hot oil and let drain on paper towels or a wire rack.

5

Coating the wings with sauce

Transfer the fried chicken wings to a platter and drizzle the buffalo sauce over the top; or mix the wings and hot sauce in a bowl until coated.
