Description

This simple, yet incredibly aromatic dish is a classic of Italian cuisine. Spaghetti aglio e olio, or Spaghetti with Garlic and Oil, is perfect for a quick and delicious treat. I often make it when I need to be quick and still want something special on the table. The intense garlic flavor, combined with high-quality olive oil and a pinch of chili (optional!), makes this dish a true taste experience. It is perfectly rounded off with freshly grated Parmesan or a vegan alternative. Buon appetito!

Ingredients (6 ingredients)

  • 400 g Spaghetti
  • 0.01 pinch Salt
  • 4 clove Garlic
  • 150 ml Cold-pressed olive oil
  • 0.01 pinch Pepper
  • 0.01 pinch Parmesan (or vegan alternative)

Prepare garlic

Peel 4 cloves of garlic. Put 3 cloves into the mixing bowl and chop for 3 sec./level 7. Cut one clove into fine slices and set aside.

Sauté garlic

Add 150 ml olive oil to the mixing bowl and add the chopped garlic. Sauté for 3 min./120°C/level 1.

Cook spaghetti

Meanwhile, cook 400 g of spaghetti in salted water according to the package instructions until al dente. Then drain.

Mix spaghetti

Place the drained spaghetti in a bowl and mix with the garlic oil from the mixing bowl. Season with salt and pepper.

Serve

Garnish the spaghetti with the garlic slices and serve sprinkled with freshly grated Parmesan or a vegan alternative.
