Description

These tuna fritters are a simple and delicious recipe, perfect for a quick dinner or as an appetizer to share. The combination of tuna with fresh vegetables and spices creates an irresistible flavor. I prepare them often because they are very easy to make and always succeed. In addition, they can be accompanied with a fresh salad or with your favorite sauce. Go ahead and try them, you will love them! The preparation is very fast and with the Thermomix® it is simplified even more.

Ingredients (11 ingredients)

  • 2 can tuna
  • 2 piece eggs
  • 0.25 piece onion
  • 0.25 piece bell pepper
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 bunch coriander
  • 4 tbsp breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp wheat flour (optional)
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch pepper
  • 1 piece oil

Preparation (6 steps)

Chop the vegetables

Peel ¼ of onion and 1 clove of garlic. Cut ¼ of bell pepper into pieces. Introduce the onion, the garlic and the bell pepper in the Thermomix glass and chop during 3 seconds at speed 5.

Add the coriander

Add a handful of fresh coriander to the glass and chop during 2 seconds at speed 4. Remove the mixture from the glass and reserve.

Mix the ingredients

In a large bowl, drain the liquid from 2 cans of tuna and crumble the tuna with a fork. Add the chopped vegetables, 2 eggs, salt and pepper to taste. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly integrated.

Add flour and breadcrumbs

Add 4 tablespoons of breadcrumbs and 2 tablespoons of wheat flour (optional) to the bowl. Stir all the ingredients until a semi-thick mixture is obtained. If the mixture is too liquid, add a little more flour until the desired consistency is obtained.

Fry the fritters

Heat plenty of oil in a pan over medium heat. With the help of two spoons, take portions of the mixture and form the fritters. Fry the fritters for 2-3 minutes on each side, until golden brown and crispy. Remove the fritters and place them on absorbent paper to remove excess oil.

Serve

Serve the freshly made tuna fritters, accompanied by a fresh salad and rice. Serve also with lemon, tartar sauce, mayonnaise or your favorite dip to enhance its flavor.
