Ingredients (17 ingredients)

  • 1.5 Stück untreated orange
  • 1.5 Stück untreated lemon
  • 250 g Flour
  • 1 TL Baking powder
  • 125 g Sugar
  • 100 g Butter
  • 1 Stück Egg
  • 300 g Soft apricots
  • 75 g Candied lemon peel
  • 75 g Candied orange peel
  • 50 g Chopped almonds
  • 2 EL Orange marmalade
  • 1 Msp. Ground cloves
  • 1 Msp. Mace
  • 1 Stück Egg yolk
  • 1 EL Milk
  • 3 EL Pearl sugar

Preparation (11 steps)

Prepare citrus fruits

Wash the orange and lemon and finely grate the zest with a zester. Set aside.

Prepare the dough

Put flour, baking powder, sugar, butter and egg into the mixing bowl. Add the grated lemon and orange zest. Insert Patix dough knife.

Knead the dough

Knead the dough for 2 min./kneading stage.

Chill the dough

Refrigerate the dough, covered, for 30 minutes.

Prepare the filling

Put soft apricots, candied lemon peel and candied orange peel in the mixing bowl and chop for 10 sec./speed 5.

Mix the filling

Add chopped almonds, orange marmalade, ground cloves and mace and stir for 5 sec./speed 3.

Preheat oven

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees (fan oven: 160 degrees). Line two baking trays with baking paper.

Shape the dough

Divide the dough into 4 equal pieces and roll out into rectangles of about 8 x 30 cm each. Also quarter the filling, form into 30 cm rolls and place on the rectangles. Roll up the dough over the filling from the long side.

Mix milk with egg yolk

Put egg yolk and milk in the mixing bowl and stir for 10 sec./speed 3.

Attach MilkiMizer and whisk for 1 min./speed 3.5.

Brush and bake rolls

Brush the rolls with the egg yolk-milk mixture and sprinkle with pearl sugar. Cut the rolls diagonally into 2½ cm thick slices and place on the baking sheets. Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes until golden brown. Then let cool on a wire rack.
