Description

These delicate butter cookies in rose shape are a real eye-catcher on every coffee table! I especially like to make them during the Christmas season, but they taste great all year round, of course. The dough is quick to prepare and is wonderful to process. The cooling time makes it particularly crumbly. The rose shape is a bit more complex, but the result is simply enchanting. If you like, you can sprinkle the cookies with a little icing sugar after baking. An absolute favorite recipe that is always well received by friends and family!

Complete dough

Remove the dough from the mixing bowl and knead briefly with your hands. If necessary, add 1-2 tablespoons of cold water if the dough is too dry. Form the dough into a ball, wrap in cling film and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

4

Roll out dough and cut out circles

Roll out the chilled dough on a floured work surface with a rolling pin to a thickness of 3-4 mm. Cut out circles with a glass.

5

Shape roses

Place 4 circles on top of each other so that they overlap halfway. Carefully roll up the circles and cut the resulting dough cylinder in the middle to obtain two roses.

6

Place roses on baking sheet

Pull the petals of the roses apart slightly and place the roses on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.

7

Baking

Bake the roses in a preheated oven at 200°C (Th. 7) for approx. 15 minutes until the petals are light golden brown.
