Description

These meatballs in tomato sauce are a comforting and flavorful dish, perfect for any day of the week. The recipe is very simple and prepared in a short time with the Thermomix®. The meatballs, even frozen, are juicy and tender thanks to slow cooking in the sauce. The homemade tomato sauce, with onion, pepper and garlic, gives it a special and delicious touch. Ideal to accompany with white rice or mashed potatoes. A dish that appeals to young and old! It can be prepared in advance and heated at the time of serving.

Ingredients (8 ingredients)

  • 10 piece frozen meatballs
  • 200 g fried tomato
  • 0.5 piece onion
  • 1 piece small pepper
  • 3 clove garlic
  • 1 container white wine
  • Olive oil
  • Salt

Preparation (7 steps)

Prepare the vegetables

Peel half the onion and the 3 cloves of garlic. Cut the small pepper into pieces. Put the onion, pepper and garlic in the Thermomix glass.

Chop the vegetables

Chop the vegetables by programming 3 seconds at speed 5.

Sauté the vegetables

Add a drizzle of olive oil to the glass. Sauté the vegetables by programming 5 minutes, temperature 120°C and speed 1.

Add the meatballs and wine

Add the 10 frozen meatballs and 1 glass of white wine to the Thermomix glass. Stir with the spatula.

Cook the meatballs in wine

Thermomix® Setting
10 min/212°F/Linkslauf Speed Löffel 100 Reverse

Program 10 minutes, temperature 100°C, turn to the left and spoon speed.

Add the fried tomato

Add the 200 g of fried tomato to the Thermomix glass. Stir with the spatula.

Cook at low temperature

Thermomix® Setting
20 min/194°F/Linkslauf Speed Löffel 90 Reverse

Program 20 minutes, temperature 90°C, turn to the left and spoon speed. If the sauce dries out too much, add a little water.
