Description

These chicken skewers with curry peanut sauce are an explosion of flavors! The marinade, enriched with lime, lemon and a touch of chili, makes the chicken incredibly tender and tasty. I often prepare them for my friends during summer barbecues, and they always disappear in the blink of an eye. The peanut sauce, with its exotic flavor, goes perfectly with the chicken. Preparation is quick and easy, but the marinade takes a bit of time, so I recommend preparing the skewers the night before. Perfect as an appetizer or main course, these skewers are a great option for a casual and tasty dinner. A true must for lovers of Asian cuisine!

Ingredients (8 ingredients)

  • Chicken breast
  • to taste Peanut butter
  • to taste Soy sauce
  • to taste Curry
  • 1 piece Lime
  • 1 piece Lemon
  • to taste Chili sauce
  • to taste Salt

Preparation of soy sauce and peanut butter

Adding lime juice, lemon and chili sauce

Add the juice of one lime, the juice of one lemon and the chili sauce to the bowl. Mix to combine the ingredients. 10 Sek./Stufe 3

Adding the curry powder

Thermomix® Setting

Add a teaspoon of curry powder to the marinade in the bowl. Mix to distribute the curry evenly. 10 Sek./Stufe 2

Preparation of the skewers

Soak the skewers in cold water to prevent them from burning during cooking. This step does not require the use of the Thermomix.

Cutting and skewering the chicken

Cut the chicken breast into strips and thread them onto the skewers in a zig zag pattern. This step does not require the use of the Thermomix.

Marinating the chicken

Dip the skewers in the marinade prepared in the Thermomix and place them in a baking tray. Cover with cling film and leave to marinate in the refrigerator overnight. This step does not require the use of the Thermomix.

Cooking the skewers

The next day, take the skewers and cook them in the oven at maximum heat for about 15 minutes. This step does not require the use of the Thermomix.

Serving

Serve the freshly baked skewers by sprinkling them with a little lime juice and salting them adequately. This step does not require the use of the Thermomix.
