Description

This bread pudding without oven is a delicious and very easy to prepare utilization recipe. Ideal for those days when you have leftover bread and don't know what to do with it. The combination of milk, custard mix and a touch of cinnamon give it a very special flavor. I do it often because my children love it, and it is also a great way for them to eat something sweet without having to turn on the oven. It is prepared in the blink of an eye and only needs a few hours of refrigeration. Perfect for any occasion! You can add a little whipped cream to give it an extra touch of flavor.

Ingredients (6 ingredients)

  • 1 litro milk
  • 250 gramos stale bread cut into thin slices
  • 200 gramos powdered mix to make custard with added sugar
  • 0.5 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • liquid caramel

Preparation (8 steps)

1

Prepare the liquid caramel

Pour liquid caramel into the bottom of a mold. Make sure to cover the entire surface so that the pudding unmolds easily. Reserve the mold with the caramel.

2

Mix the milk and vanilla essence

Thermomix® Setting
5 Seg./Velocidad 3

In the Thermomix bowl, add 1 liter of milk and 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence. Mix for 5 seconds/Speed 3 to integrate the ingredients evenly.

Prepare the mixture for the pudding

Cook the mixture

Thermomix® Setting
8 min/194°F/Velocidad 2 90

Program the Thermomix to cook the mixture for 8 minutes/90°C/Speed 2. This will allow the custard mix to dissolve completely and the mixture to thicken slightly.

Incorporate the bread

Thermomix® Setting
15 Seg./Velocidad 3/Giro a la izquierda Reverse

Add 250 grams of stale bread cut into thin slices to the Thermomix bowl. Program 15 seconds/Speed 3/Reverse rotation so that the bread soaks well with the mixture. It does not need to be completely homogeneous, some pieces of bread will give the pudding an interesting texture.

6

Pour into the mold

Pour the mixture into the previously caramelized mold. Distribute evenly and let cool at room temperature for approximately 30 minutes.

7

Refrigerate

Cover the mold with cling film or aluminum foil and refrigerate for at least 2 hours so that the pudding sets completely.

8

Unmold and serve

Once the pudding is well chilled and set, unmold carefully and serve. It can be accompanied by whipped cream or chantilly cream.
