Diese Cheddar Chicken Lasagna ist ein herzhaftes und sättigendes Gericht, das perfekt für ein gemütliches Abendessen mit der Familie oder Freunden ist. Das Rezept verwendet ein Brathähnchen, was die Zubereitung erheblich vereinfacht. Die Kombination aus zwei verschiedenen Cheddar-Sorten sorgt für einen intensiven Käsegeschmack, der wunderbar mit dem Hähnchen und dem Gemüse harmoniert. Ich mache diese Lasagne gerne, wenn ich Reste vom Brathähnchen verwerten möchte. Sie lässt sich auch gut vorbereiten und schmeckt aufgewärmt fast noch besser! Ein absolutes Lieblingsgericht, besonders im Herbst und Winter.

Ingredients (15 ingredients)

  • 2 tablespoons salted butter
  • 2 medium carrots, cut into matchsticks
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 small head broccoli, cut into florets
  • 0.5 cup chicken broth
  • 1 rotisserie chicken
  • 4 tablespoons salted butter
  • 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 3 cups 1% milk
  • 1 cup shredded white Cheddar cheese
  • 2 teaspoons garlic salt
  • 2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1 pack oven-ready lasagna noodles (8 ounce)
  • 3 tablespoons panko bread crumbs

Carrots and Onion Sauté

Place 2 medium carrots, cut into matchsticks, and 1 medium onion, diced, into the mixing bowl. Chop for 3 sec/speed 5. Add 2 tablespoons of salted butter and sauté for 3 min/120°C/speed 1.

Add Garlic

Thermomix® Setting

Add 1 clove of garlic, minced, to the mixing bowl and cook for 1 min/120°C/speed 1.

Steam Broccoli

Combine 1 small head of broccoli, cut into florets, and ½ cup of chicken broth in a microwave-safe bowl. Steam in the microwave until tender, about 3 minutes. Drain off chicken broth. Coarsely chop the florets and add to the carrot mixture.

Combine Vegetables

Add the steamed broccoli to the carrot and onion mixture in the mixing bowl. Stir to combine. Remove from the mixing bowl and set aside.

Prepare Chicken

Remove skin from the rotisserie chicken. Using a sharp knife, carefully separate pieces. Cut meat into small cubes, making sure to pick through and discard any bones.

Make Cheese Sauce

Place 4 tablespoons of salted butter into the mixing bowl and melt for 2 min/50°C/speed 2.

Add Flour

Add 4 tablespoons of all-purpose flour to the melted butter in the mixing bowl. Cook for 2 min/100°C/speed 3 to form a paste.

Add Milk

Slowly pour in 3 cups of 1% milk into the mixing bowl. Cook, whisking constantly, for 7 min/90°C/speed 4, until the sauce thickens.

Add Cheese and Seasoning

Thermomix® Setting

Add 1 cup of shredded white Cheddar cheese and 2 teaspoons of garlic salt to the mixing bowl. Cook for 1 min/60°C/speed 3 until the cheese is melted.

Preheat Oven

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

Assemble Lasagna

Set aside 1/2 cup of shredded Cheddar cheese for the topping. Spread about 1/2 cup of the sauce over the bottom of an 8x8-inch casserole dish. Add a layer of oven-ready lasagna noodles, broccoli mixture, cheese, and chicken. Repeat layers, ending with sauce. Sprinkle reserved Cheddar cheese and 3 tablespoons of panko bread crumbs over the top.

Bake Lasagna

Cover lasagna with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 35 minutes. Uncover and bake for 5 minutes more. Allow to rest for 7 minutes before serving.
