Description

This recipe for gratinated chicken breasts is a simple dish but full of flavor. The combination of tender chicken with a crispy spiced bread topping makes it an ideal option for a quick weekday meal or to surprise your guests. The preparation is very simple and the result is a juicy and aromatic dish. I usually prepare it when I have little time but I want to eat something rich and nutritious. It is a guaranteed success! Also, you can vary the spices of the breadcrumbs to give it a personal touch. Try it with smoked paprika or a little chili powder for a spicy touch. You will love it!

Ingredients (11 ingredients)

  • 2 piece whole chicken breasts
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp dried parsley
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tbsp melted butter
  • 4 slice sandwich bread
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp dried parsley
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • Salt

Preparation (4 steps)

Marinate the chicken breasts

Place the chicken breasts in an oven-safe container. In a small bowl, mix 1 tsp of garlic powder, 1 tsp of dried parsley, 1 tsp of oregano and 1 tbsp of melted butter. Pour the mixture over the breasts, making sure to cover them well. Reserve in the refrigerator for 2 hours to marinate.

Prepare the spiced breadcrumbs

Place 4 slices of sandwich bread in the Thermomix glass. Crush for 5 Sec./Stufe 5. Pour the breadcrumbs into a bowl. Add 1 tsp of garlic powder, 1 tsp of dried parsley, 1 tsp of oregano and 4 tbsp of melted butter. Mix well until you get a moist but not compact crumb.

Preheat the oven

Preheat the oven to 200°C with heat only from below.

Cover the breasts and bake

Season the chicken breasts with salt to taste. Cover each breast with the spiced breadcrumbs, pressing lightly to adhere. Place the breasts on a baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes with heat only from below. Then, switch to heat above and below and bake for 10 more minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
