Description

This seafood cocktail is a fresh and delicious appetizer, perfect for hot days or a special celebration. The combination of prawns, crab sticks and crunchy lettuce, all bathed in a creamy pink sauce, is simply irresistible. I have been preparing it for years and it is always a success. Furthermore, it is very easy to make with the Thermomix®, making it an ideal option for when you have little time. You can prepare it in advance and store it in the fridge until serving time. A refreshing and flavorful bite!

Ingredients (7 ingredients)

  • 1 pack lettuce, can be varied
  • 16 piece cooked prawns
  • 10 piece surimi sticks
  • 100 gramos mayonnaise
  • 2 cucharadas soperas ketchup
  • 2 cucharadas soperas brandy
  • 1 gota tabasco

Preparation of the pink sauce

Thermomix® Setting

In the Thermomix glass, add 100 g of mayonnaise, 2 tablespoons of ketchup, 2 tablespoons of brandy and 1 drop of tabasco (optional). Mix for 10 seconds/Speed 4. Remove the sauce from the glass and reserve in the fridge.

Chopping the prawns

Peel 16 cooked prawns, reserving 4 whole to decorate. Place the remaining 12 prawns in the Thermomix glass and chop for 3 seconds/Speed 4. Remove and reserve.

Chopping the surimi sticks

Cut 10 surimi sticks into smaller pieces. Introduce the pieces into the Thermomix glass and chop for 3 seconds/Speed 4. Remove and reserve.

Chopping the lettuce

Wash and dry 1 package of mixed lettuce. Cut the lettuce into small pieces. Introduce the lettuce into the Thermomix glass and chop for 3 seconds/Speed 4. Remove and reserve in the fridge.

Assembly of the cocktail

In individual glasses or cups, place a base of chopped lettuce. Add the chopped surimi sticks and the chopped prawns. Cover with a generous spoonful of pink sauce. Garnish with a reserved whole prawn.
