Description

Quick and easy recipe for crispy chicken cutlets with cornflakes coating.

Ingredients (7 ingredients)

  • 500 g Chicken breast fillet
  • 2 Eggs
  • 150 g Cornflakes
  • 50 g Flour
  • Clarified butter or Vegetable oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Preparation (7 steps)

Prepare chicken

Cut 500 g chicken breast fillet horizontally into slices about 1 cm thick. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Set the chicken cutlets aside.

Crush cornflakes

Put 150 g cornflakes in a freezer bag. Close the bag and coarsely crush the cornflakes with a rolling pin or similar. Transfer the crushed cornflakes to a bowl.

Whisk eggs

Whisk 2 eggs in a bowl with a fork. Set the whisked eggs aside.

Prepare flour

Put 50 g flour in a separate bowl. Prepare the bowl with the flour.

Set up breading station

Place the bowls with flour, whisked eggs and crushed cornflakes next to each other to form a breading station.

Bread cutlets

Turn the chicken cutlets one after the other first in the flour, knock off excess flour. Then pull through the whisked eggs and finally turn in the crushed cornflakes so that the cutlets are completely covered with cornflakes.

Fry cutlets

Heat clarified butter or vegetable oil (approx. 1/2 cm high) in a large pan. Place the breaded chicken cutlets in it and fry over medium heat until golden brown on both sides, for a total of approx. 5-8 minutes. Drain the finished cutlets on a plate lined with kitchen paper.
