  • 6 piece Merguez
  • 400 g Couscous semolina
  • 4 piece Carrot(s)
  • 3 piece Turnip(s)
  • 3 piece Zucchini(s)
  • 1 can Chickpeas
  • 3 piece Onion(s)
  • 4 piece Tomato(s)
  • 2 l Poultry broth
  • 50 g Raisins
  • 2 c. à soupe Olive oil
  • 2 clove Clove(s) of garlic
  • 2 c. à café Couscous spices
  • 1 pinch Spices
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 pinch Pepper
  • 1 pinch Spices (oregano, rosemary, parsley, etc)

Preparation (9 steps)

Vegetable preparation

Peel and cut the carrots, turnips, zucchini, onions and tomatoes into pieces. Peel and finely chop the cloves of garlic. Set aside all the vegetables.

Chop the onion and garlic

Put the onions in the Thermomix bowl and chop for 3 Sek./Stufe 5. Add the garlic and chop again for 2 Sek./Stufe 7.

Sauté the onions and garlic

Add the olive oil to the Thermomix bowl and sauté the onions and garlic for 3 Min./120°C/Stufe 1.

Cooking the vegetables

Add the carrots, turnips and tomatoes to the Thermomix bowl. Cook for 5 Min./100°C/Stufe 1.

Adding the broth and spices

Pour the poultry broth into the Thermomix bowl. Add the couscous spices, salt, pepper, oregano, rosemary and parsley. Mix for 5 Sek./Stufe 3.

Cooking the chicken and merguez

In a frying pan, brown the pieces of chicken and the merguez. Then add the browned chicken and merguez to the Thermomix bowl with the vegetables and broth. Program 30 Min./100°C/Stufe 1/Linkslauf.

Adding the zucchini and chickpeas

Add the zucchini and drained chickpeas to the Thermomix bowl. Cook for another 10 Min./100°C/Stufe 1/Linkslauf.

Preparation of the semolina

Meanwhile, prepare the couscous semolina according to the package instructions. Add the raisins to the semolina.

Service

Serve the couscous hot with the semolina with raisins. You can prepare this dish in advance and reheat it before serving.
