Description

This dish of creamy fettuccine with lemon prawns is a delight that I prepare often. The combination of fresh pasta, juicy prawns, and creamy sauce with a citrus touch is simply irresistible. It is perfect for a quick weekday meal or to surprise your guests at a special dinner. The recipe is very simple and is prepared in a short time, ideal for when you don't have much time to cook. Go ahead and try it, you will love it! You can add a little chopped fresh parsley at the end to give it an extra touch of freshness.

Ingredients (9 ingredients)

  • 300 gramos peeled prawns
  • 200 gramos fettuccine type pasta
  • 250 mililitros cream
  • 100 gramos parmesan cheese
  • 1 bunch parsley or chives
  • 3 dientes garlic
  • 1 piece lemon
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch pepper

Preparation (8 steps)

Prepare the water for the pasta

In a separate pot, heat enough water to cook the pasta (approximately 1 liter for every 100 grams of pasta). Bring to a boil and add salt to taste. Set aside.

Marinate the prawns

Wash the peeled prawns very well. In a bowl, mix the prawns with the juice of half a lemon, 3 minced garlic cloves, salt and pepper to taste. Stir well and let stand for a few minutes so that the prawns absorb the flavors.

Add parsley to the prawns

Wash a bunch of parsley or chives very well and chop finely. Add the chopped parsley to the marinated prawns and stir so that it integrates well.

Sauté the prawns

In a pan with a little oil, sauté the prawns until they take on a more intense color, stirring constantly. Remove the prawns from the pan and set aside.

Prepare the creamy sauce

Thermomix® Setting

In the Thermomix bowl, add 250 ml of cream and program 5 Min./90°C/Speed 2. Add half of the parmesan cheese (50 grams) and program 1 Min./60°C/Speed 3 so that it melts and the sauce becomes more creamy.

Add the prawns to the sauce

Thermomix® Setting
1 min/176°F/Giro a la izquierda/Velocidad 1 80 Reverse

Add the sautéed prawns to the Thermomix bowl with the creamy sauce and program 1 Min./80°C/Reverse direction/Speed 1 to integrate the prawns into the sauce without them falling apart.

Cook the pasta

While the sauce is being prepared, cook 200 grams of fettuccine type pasta in the boiling water with salt, following the manufacturer's instructions so that it is al dente. Drain the pasta.

Serve

Serve the hot pasta on individual plates. Pour the creamy sauce with prawns over the pasta. Sprinkle the rest of the parmesan cheese (50 grams) on top and serve immediately.
