Description

These crispy sesame chicken strips are a delicious and easy-to-prepare snack, perfect for any occasion! Chicken breast, cut into strips and breaded in a mixture of flour, egg and sesame, is fried until golden brown and crispy. Toasted sesame gives it a unique flavour and texture. I love serving it with soy sauce for dipping, but it also goes well with other sauces such as sesame or even homemade tzatziki. A recipe that always triumphs and is prepared in the blink of an eye!

Ingredients (8 ingredients)

  • 300 gramos Chicken breast
  • 50 gramos Sesame seeds
  • 20 gramos Wheat flour
  • 1 piece Egg
  • 100 mililitros Vegetable oil
  • 50 mililitros Soy sauce
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 pinch Pepper

Preparation (6 steps)

Prepare the chicken

Cut the chicken breast into strips approximately 1 cm thick. Season the strips with salt and pepper to taste. Set aside.

Prepare the ingredients for breading

In three separate containers, place the wheat flour, beaten egg and sesame seeds. Make sure there is enough space in each container to bread the chicken strips comfortably.

Bread the chicken

Pass each chicken strip first through the flour, making sure it is well covered. Then, dip in the beaten egg and, finally, coat in the sesame seeds, pressing lightly so that they adhere well.

Heat the oil

Pour the vegetable oil into a large frying pan and heat over medium-high heat (approximately 160°C). It is important that the oil is hot so that the chicken is crispy.

Fry the chicken

Carefully place the breaded chicken strips in the hot oil, making sure not to overload the pan. Fry for approximately 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crispy. Remove the chicken strips from the pan and place them on absorbent paper to remove excess oil.

Serve

Serve the hot chicken strips accompanied by soy sauce. Optionally, they can be accompanied with sesame sauce or tzatziki.
