Description

I love preparing these oven-baked chicken thighs with mustard and bacon! It is a dish that I often make, especially when I have guests for dinner. The mustard gives a particular flavor to the meat, which goes very well with the crispness of the bacon. The potatoes, cooked together with the chicken, become very soft and tasty. The preparation is simple and quick, perfect for those who have little time but do not want to give up a tasty and substantial dish. Ideal for a Sunday lunch with the family or a dinner with friends. A real comfort food!

Ingredients (8 ingredients)

  • Chicken thighs
  • Mustard
  • Bacon (stretched)
  • Potatoes
  • 2 clove Garlic
  • Extra virgin olive oil (EVO)
  • Salt
  • Black pepper

Preparation (5 steps)

Preparation of the chicken thighs

Remove the skin from the chicken thighs by pulling it downwards. Make several incisions in the thighs with transverse cuts to encourage the penetration of the seasoning.

Marinating the chicken thighs

Transfer the chicken thighs to a baking dish and pour plenty of mustard over them. Spread the mustard well on the meat with your hands, making sure it penetrates the incisions. Set aside to marinate.

Preparation of the potatoes

Peel the potatoes, rinse them and cut them into chunks.

Preparation of the baking tray

Pour a generous drizzle of extra virgin olive oil into a large baking dish. Add two cloves of garlic in their skins, just crushed, and the potatoes in chunks. Mix well with your hands to season the potatoes.

Baking in the oven

Arrange the chicken thighs in the baking tray on top of the potatoes, making sure they do not overlap. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 50 minutes or until cooked through.
