Description

Chicken scaloppine with marsala and red onions, a classic of Italian cuisine revisited with the Thermomix®. This dish is perfect for a quick but tasty dinner, ideal for those who love sweet and sour flavors. The tender and succulent meat blends perfectly with the sweetness of the caramelized red onions and the intense aroma of marsala. I often prepare it when I have unexpected guests and want to make a good impression without spending hours in the kitchen. It is prepared in less than half an hour and is a real success! Excellent accompanied by a side of mashed potatoes or basmati rice.

Ingredients (6 ingredients)

  • 500 g sliced chicken breast
  • 00 flour
  • olive oil
  • 2 piece red onions
  • 200 ml marsala
  • 1 pinch fine salt

Preparation (6 steps)

Sliced onions

Insert the red onions into the bowl and slice: 5 Sec./Speed 4.

Sauté the onions

Add the olive oil to the bowl and sauté the onions: 3 Min./120°C/Speed 1.

Deglaze with marsala

Thermomix® Setting
2 min/Varoma/Speed 1 Varoma

Pour 100 ml of marsala into the bowl and deglaze: 2 Min./Varoma/Speed 1, without measuring cup.

Brown the chicken

Flour the slices of chicken breast. In a pan, brown the floured slices of chicken breast on both sides with a drizzle of olive oil. Remove from the pan and set aside.

Complete the cooking

Thermomix® Setting
8 min/212°F/Speed 1 100 Reverse

Add the browned slices of chicken breast to the bowl with the onions and marsala. Add the remaining 100 ml of marsala and cook: 8 Min./100°C/Speed 1/Reverse.

Add the salt

Thermomix® Setting

Add a pinch of fine salt and mix: 10 Sec./Speed 1/Reverse.
