Description

This flower bread with marigolds is a real eye-catcher on any breakfast table or brunch buffet! I especially like to bake it in the spring when the marigolds are blooming in the garden. The dried flowers give the bread not only a beautiful look, but also a slightly floral aroma. It is super easy to prepare and tastes great both pure and with cream cheese or jam. The preparation in the Thermomix® makes it even easier and faster. An absolute favorite recipe that is always well received by my guests!

Ingredients (9 ingredients)

  • 3 piece Eggs (size M)
  • 50 ml Milk
  • 100 ml Oil
  • 150 g Powdered sugar
  • 25 g dried organic marigold flowers
  • 250 g Flour
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • dried organic marigold flowers for sprinkling
  • Fat for the mold

Preparation (6 steps)

Whisk eggs

Thermomix® Setting
5 min/Speed 4

Put 3 eggs into the mixing bowl and whisk until creamy for 5 min./level 4.

Add liquids

Thermomix® Setting
20 sec/Speed 3

Add 50 ml milk and 100 ml oil and stir in for 20 sec./level 3.

Stir in powdered sugar and marigolds

Add 150 g powdered sugar and 25 g dried organic marigold flowers to the mixing bowl and stir in for 20 sec./level 3.

Mix flour and baking powder and stir in

Thermomix® Setting
30 sec/Speed 3

Sift 250 g flour and 1 tsp baking powder into the mixing bowl and stir in for 30 sec./level 3. Use the spatula to push down from the edge and stir for another 10 sec./level 3.

Fill dough into mold and bake

Pour the dough into a greased loaf pan (approx. 25 cm long). Bake in a preheated oven (electric oven: 180 °C/convection oven: 160 °C) for 25–30 minutes.

Let the bread cool and sprinkle

Remove the bread from the oven, let it cool slightly and then turn it out. Let the bread cool completely and sprinkle with dried organic marigold flowers.
