Description

These stuffed croissants are an explosion of Mediterranean flavors! Perfect for a Sunday brunch or a quick lunch, they are prepared in the blink of an eye. The combination of creamy mozzarella stracciatella, sun-dried tomatoes in oil and raw ham is simply irresistible. I love them because they are easy to customize: you can add olives, grilled eggplants or other cured meats as desired. A delicious idea to impress your guests or simply to treat yourself to a little luxury during the week. Try them, you won't regret it!

Ingredients (7 ingredients)

  • 2 piece croissant
  • 20 g butter
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 100 g mozzarella stracciatella
  • 50 g sun-dried tomatoes in oil
  • 80 g sliced raw ham
  • 30 g arugula

Butter and honey in the jug

Put 20 g of butter and 1 tablespoon of honey in the jug.

Cut the croissants

Cut 2 croissants in half lengthwise.

Toast the croissants

Brush the inside of the croissants with the melted butter and honey. Put the croissant halves in a pan with the cut side facing down, and cover with a sheet of parchment paper. Place a saucepan or something else on top to weigh down and flatten the croissants slightly and toast for 1-2 minutes. Turn and toast the other side for another 1-2 minutes, always with parchment paper and with a weight on top.

Chop the sun-dried tomatoes

Put 50 g of sun-dried tomatoes in oil in the jug and chop for 3 Sec./Stufe 5.

Stuff the croissants

Once the croissants are toasted, spread the stracciatella on the lower halves. Add the chopped sun-dried tomatoes and form a layer of arugula. Complete with the raw ham.

Serve

Close with the upper half and serve the stuffed croissants immediately, hot and crispy.
