Description

These rolled rice snacks are a real eye-catcher and taste simply delicious! I like to make them when I invite friends for brunch or plan a small party. The preparation is a bit more complex, but it's definitely worth it. The rice is perfectly prepared in the Thermomix® and the fresh vegetable filling provides a crunchy bite. Sprinkled with a little sesame, they are not only tasty, but also a real feast for the eyes. If you like, you can of course also use other types of vegetables or tofu. A great vegetarian dish that will also delight non-vegetarians!

Ingredients (5 ingredients)

  • 250 g Sushi rice
  • 6 piece Nori leaves
  • 1 piece Avocado
  • 3 piece Carrots
  • 3 tsp Sesame

Preparation (6 steps)

Prepare sushi rice

Add 250 g of sushi rice to the mixing bowl and prepare with water according to the package instructions. The exact amount of water and cooking time vary depending on the type of rice. Follow the instructions on the rice package. After cooking, let the rice cool down a little.

Prepare avocado

Peel 1 avocado, remove the pit and cut the pulp into strips. Set aside the avocado strips.

Prepare carrots

Peel 3 carrots and cut into fine strips. Set aside the carrot strips.

Roll sushi

Place a nori leaf with the smooth side down on a bamboo mat. Spread the cooked rice evenly on the nori leaf. Make sure to leave a margin of about 1 cm on the upper side of the leaf. Place the prepared avocado and carrot strips on the rice and sprinkle with 3 tsp of sesame.

Shape sushi

Use the bamboo mat to roll the nori leaf firmly around the filling. Moisten the seam with a little water so that it holds together well. Let the finished sushi roll rest briefly.

Cut sushi

Cut the sushi roll into bite-sized pieces with a sharp knife. Moisten the knife with water in between so that the rice does not stick.
