Description

These Earl Grey infused lime ice pops are a refreshing treat on a hot summer day. The subtle bergamot flavor of the tea pairs perfectly with the zesty lime, creating a unique and delicious combination. I've been making these for years, and they're always a hit with kids and adults alike. They're so easy to make, and you can easily adjust the sweetness to your liking. Perfect for a light dessert or a refreshing beverage on a warm afternoon. These are naturally vegan, gluten-free, and lactose-free, making them a great option for those with dietary restrictions.

Ingredients (5 ingredients)

  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 2 piece Earl Grey tea bags
  • 2 tablespoons white sugar
  • 1 piece lime, juiced
  • 6 slices lime

Preparation (6 steps)

1

Steep the Tea

Pour 2 cups of boiling water into a heatproof jar or pitcher. Add 2 Earl Grey tea bags and let steep for 15 minutes. No Thermomix settings are needed for this step.

2

Remove Tea Bags and Add Sweetener

Carefully remove the tea bags from the jar or pitcher. Add 2 tablespoons of white sugar (or to taste) and the juice of 1 lime (optional). Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved. Adjust the sweetness to your liking. No Thermomix settings are needed for this step.

3

Cool the Mixture

Allow the tea mixture to cool to room temperature. This step is crucial to prevent melting the ice pops during freezing. No Thermomix settings are needed for this step.

4

Prepare the Molds

Optionally, drop a slice of lime into each of the 6 ice pop molds. No Thermomix settings are needed for this step.

5

Pour and Freeze

Pour the cooled tea mixture into the ice pop molds, leaving about 1/4 inch of space at the top. Place the sticks or tops in the molds. Freeze until solid, approximately 3 to 4 hours. No Thermomix settings are needed for this step.

6

Release the Ice Pops

Run some warm water over the outside of the molds to help loosen the ice pops. Gently pull the ice pops out of the molds. No Thermomix settings are needed for this step.
