Description

This gyros noodle casserole is a hearty main course that is quick and easy to prepare. With gyros meat, noodles, mushrooms, peppers and peas, it is rich in flavor and texture. The Sauce Hollandaise and the grated cheese ensure a creamy consistency. Ideal for a quick lunch or dinner.

Ingredients (10 ingredients)

  • 500 g Gyros meat
  • 250 g Noodles
  • 250 g Cheese, grated
  • 350 g Mushrooms
  • 1 Stück Bell pepper
  • 150 g Peas frozen
  • 600 ml Sauce Hollandaise
  • Thyme
  • Rosemary
  • Herbs, Italian

Preparation (9 steps)

Cook noodles

Cook 250 g of noodles in a saucepan with salted water according to the package instructions. Then drain and set aside.

Fry gyros

Fry 500 g of gyros meat in a separate pan with a little oil until cooked.

Prepare mushrooms

Clean 350 g of mushrooms and cut into slices.

Prepare bell pepper

Wash, core and cut 1 bell pepper into strips.

Prepare Sauce Hollandaise

Thermomix® Setting

Put 600 ml of Sauce Hollandaise into the mixing bowl and heat for 5 min./60°C/speed 2.

Layer casserole

Put the cooked noodles, the fried gyros meat, the mushrooms, the bell pepper and 150 g of peas (frozen) in a baking dish and mix.

Pour sauce over casserole

Pour the heated Sauce Hollandaise over the casserole.

Add cheese

Sprinkle 250 g of grated cheese over the casserole.

Bake casserole

Bake the casserole in a preheated oven at 180°C top/bottom heat for approx. 20 minutes until the cheese is golden brown. Season with thyme, rosemary and Italian herbs.
