Description

This hearty minced meat pointed cabbage potato casserole from the Thermomix® is a savory main course with minced meat, pointed cabbage and potatoes. Onions and garlic provide the spice. Preparation takes about 50 minutes, of which 30 minutes is active work time. The recipe is designed for 4 servings and is ideal as a family meal or for lovers of hearty cuisine.

  • 1 Stück Onion
  • 2 Zehen Garlic
  • 600 g Pointed Cabbage
  • 800 g Potatoes
  • 1 EL Olive oil
  • 400 g mixed minced meat
  • 2 EL Tomato paste
  • 200 g Cream
  • 100 ml Vegetable broth
  • 1 EL Soy sauce
  • 100 g grated Cheese
  • Salt and Pepper

Pre-cook potatoes

Peel the potatoes and cut into cubes. Place potatoes in the steamer basket. Add 1000 ml of water to the mixing bowl, insert the steamer basket and pre-cook for 10 min./Varoma/speed 1.

Chop onions and garlic

Put onion and garlic in the mixing bowl and chop for 3 sec./speed 5.

Sauté onions and garlic

Thermomix® Setting

Add 1 tbsp olive oil and sauté for 3 min./120°C/speed 1.

Fry minced meat

Fry minced meat in a separate pan with some oil.

Add pointed cabbage and remaining ingredients

5 min/212°F/Gentle stir speed 212°F

Cut pointed cabbage into strips and add to the mixing bowl together with the fried minced meat, 2 tbsp tomato paste, 200 g cream, 100 ml vegetable broth and 1 tbsp soy sauce. Simmer for 5 min./100°C/gentle stir setting.

Season and place in casserole dish

Season with salt and pepper. Place the pointed cabbage and minced meat mixture with the pre-cooked potatoes in a casserole dish.

Sprinkle with cheese and bake

Sprinkle with 100 g grated cheese. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C top/bottom heat for approx. 20 minutes.
