Description

This gnocchi pumpkin pot is a real comfort dish for the colder days! The Hokkaido pumpkin provides a pleasant sweetness that harmonizes perfectly with the spicy minced meat. The gnocchi make the dish nice and filling and the melted mozzarella provides the extra cheese kick. I love how quick and easy this casserole is to prepare - perfect for a quick weeknight dinner. A little fresh basil rounds it off. Be sure to try it!

Ingredients (13 ingredients)

  • 1 piece Onion(s)
  • Oil for frying
  • 300 g Minced meat, mixed
  • 1 tsp Salt and pepper
  • Chili powder
  • 1 clove Clove(s) of garlic
  • 1 tbsp Tomato paste
  • 250 ml Vegetable stock
  • 300 g Hokkaido pumpkin(s) net weight
  • 100 g Crème fraîche
  • Basil
  • 500 g Gnocchi from the refrigerated section
  • 125 g Mozzarella

Preparation (8 steps)

Chop onion

Peel and quarter the onion and put it in the mixing bowl. Chop 3 sec./level 5.

Sauté the onion

Add some oil to the onions in the mixing bowl and sauté for 3 min./120°C/level 1.

Fry minced meat (pan)

Fry the minced meat crumbly in a separate pan with some oil. Season with salt, pepper and chili powder.

Chop garlic

Peel the clove of garlic and put it in the mixing bowl. Chop 3 sec./level 7.

Add minced meat, tomato paste and pumpkin

Thermomix® Setting

Add the fried minced meat, tomato paste, vegetable stock and diced pumpkin to the mixing bowl. Cook 5 min./100°C/level 1.

Add gnocchi and crème fraîche

Thermomix® Setting
1 min/122°F/Linkslauf Speed 1 50 Reverse

Add crème fraîche, chopped basil and gnocchi and mix for 1 min./50°C/reverse rotation level 1.

Layer casserole

Pour the gnocchi pumpkin mixture into a casserole dish.

Spread mozzarella and bake

Cut the mozzarella into slices and spread on the casserole. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C top/bottom heat for about 15 minutes.
