Description

This vegan pizza is a real eye-catcher at any party! The dough is easy to prepare and becomes nice and crispy. Topped with fresh vegetables such as zucchini, bell pepper and onions, the pizza gets a great variety of flavors. The strained tomatoes, refined with oregano, provide a fruity base. And best of all: The vegan cheese alternative melts wonderfully and makes the pizza a complete delight. I like to bake this pizza again and again because it is so versatile and tastes good to everyone. The preparation is straightforward and the result is simply delicious!

Ingredients (12 ingredients)

  • 21 g Yeast (fresh)
  • 1 pinch Sugar
  • 400 g Wheat flour (Type 405)
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 3 tbsp Olive oil
  • 2 piece Onions
  • 1 clove Garlic
  • 200 g Strained tomatoes
  • 1 tsp Oregano
  • 1 piece small Zucchini
  • 100 g Flour for the work surface
  • 250 g vegan Cheese alternative (grated)

Preparation (10 steps)

Prepare yeast

Put 21 g fresh yeast and 1 pinch of sugar into the mixing bowl and dissolve for 2 min./37°C/speed 2.

Prepare dough

Thermomix® Setting
3 min/Kneading speed

Add 400 g wheat flour (type 405), 1 tsp salt and 3 tbsp olive oil to the mixing bowl. Add the yeast mixture from step 1 and process into a dough for 3 min./kneading level. If necessary, add a little lukewarm water until a smooth dough is formed.

Let the dough rise

Remove the dough from the mixing bowl, shape into a ball and cover in a bowl in a warm place for about 1 hour.

Chop onions and garlic

Thermomix® Setting

Put 2 onions (one quartered, one cut into rings) and 1 clove of garlic into the mixing bowl and chop for 3 sec./speed 5. Remove the onion rings and set aside.

Prepare tomato sauce

Add 1 tbsp olive oil to the diced onions and garlic in the mixing bowl and sauté for 3 min./120°C/speed 1.

Finish tomato sauce

Thermomix® Setting

Add 200 g strained tomatoes and 1 tsp oregano and simmer for 10 min./100°C/speed 1. Season with salt and pepper.

Prepare vegetables

Wash 1 small zucchini, dry and cut into thin slices. Have the onion rings from step 4 ready.

Preheat oven

Preheat the oven to 250 °C top and bottom heat.

Top pizza

Roll out the dough with a rolling pin on a floured work surface (with 100 g flour) to the size of a baking sheet and place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Spread the tomato sauce evenly on the pizza dough and top with onion rings and zucchini slices. Finally, spread the 250 g vegan cheese alternative (grated) evenly on the pizza.

Bake pizza

Bake the pizza in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes until the dough is crispy.
