Description

This savory sausage-cheese-pasta is a real soul food dish that is quick to prepare and inspires the whole family. The combination of spicy sausage, creamy cheese sauce and al dente cooked pasta makes this dish an absolute highlight. I especially like to make this one-pot pasta when things need to be quick, but still delicious. The preparation in the Thermomix® is child's play and saves time and washing up. Perfect for a cozy evening or as a quick lunch!

Ingredients (12 ingredients)

  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
  • 450 g Cabanossi or Mettenden sausages
  • 1 piece Onion(s)
  • 1 clove Garlic
  • 500 ml Chicken broth
  • 125 ml Milk or Cream
  • 1 can Tomatoes, diced
  • 250 g Pasta
  • 125 g Cheddar cheese
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
  • Spring onion(s)

Preparation (7 steps)

Chop onion and garlic

Peel an onion and cut into quarters, and add a clove of garlic to the mixing bowl and chop for 3 sec./level 5. Use the spatula to push everything down from the edge.

Fry sausage

Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan. Cut 450 g sausage into slices and fry in the oil. Add the chopped onion and garlic and fry briefly.

Cook pasta

Add the fried sausage, 500 ml chicken broth, 125 ml milk or cream, 1 small can of diced tomatoes and 250 g pasta to the mixing bowl. Mix everything well.

Let simmer

Thermomix® Setting
15 min/212°F/Linkslauf Speed 1 100 Reverse

Close the mixing bowl and simmer for 15 min./100°C/reverse rotation level 1. Stir in between with the spatula.

Stir in cheese

Thermomix® Setting
30 sec/140°F/Linkslauf Speed 2 60 Reverse

When the pasta is almost cooked, stir in 50 g cheese and season with salt and pepper.

Let the cheese melt

Thermomix® Setting
2 min/140°F/Linkslauf Speed 1 60 Reverse

Sprinkle the remaining cheese (75g) on top and let it sit for 2 min./60°C/reverse rotation level 1 until the cheese has melted.

Garnish and Serve

Cut the spring onions into small pieces. Arrange the pasta on plates and garnish with the spring onions.
