Description

These homemade meatballs in tomato sauce are a comforting and flavourful dish, perfect for enjoying with the family. Minced meat is mixed with garlic, parsley and a touch of Worcestershire sauce to create juicy and tasty meatballs. The tomato sauce, slowly cooked with bay leaf and a touch of sugar, enhances the flavour of the meat. This dish is ideal for cold winter days and can be accompanied with white rice or crusty bread to dip in the delicious sauce. A classic that never fails and always triumphs at the table!

Ingredients (10 ingredients)

  • 650 gramos Minced meat
  • 4 dientes Garlic
  • 1 piece Egg
  • 2 cucharadas soperas Parsley
  • 1 chorro Worcestershire sauce or Maggi
  • Breadcrumbs
  • 780 gramos Crushed natural tomato
  • 1 cucharada postre Sugar
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 2 hojas Bay leaf

Preparation of the meat for the meatballs

Peel the 4 cloves of garlic and add them to the glass. Program 3 sec./Speed 7 to chop them finely. Remove the chopped garlic from the glass and set aside.

Mixing ingredients for the meatballs

In a large bowl, mix the 650 grams of minced meat with the reserved chopped garlic, 1 egg, 2 tablespoons of chopped parsley, a dash of Worcestershire sauce or Maggi and breadcrumbs to taste. Knead with your hands until all the ingredients are well integrated.

Forming and frying the meatballs

Form balls of meat to the desired size and coat them in breadcrumbs. Fry the meatballs in plenty of hot oil in a frying pan until golden brown and cooked through. Set aside in a colander or with absorbent paper to remove excess oil.

Preparation of the tomato sauce

Pour the 780 grams of crushed natural tomato into the Thermomix glass. Add 1 dessertspoon of sugar, 1 pinch of salt and 2 bay leaves.

Cooking the tomato sauce

Program 20 Min./100°C/Speed 1. Stir occasionally with the spatula.

Adding the meatballs to the sauce

Thermomix® Setting
10 min/194°F/Giro a la izquierda/Velocidad cuchara 90 Reverse

Add the fried meatballs to the glass with the tomato sauce. Program 10 Min./90°C/Reverse direction/Spoon speed. Stir gently with the spatula so that the meatballs are well coated with the sauce.

Serve

Serve the fried meatballs with hot tomato sauce. Serve with bread or white rice.
