Description

This dish of chicken bites with almonds is a classic of Italian cuisine, revisited to be prepared easily with the Thermomix®. The tender chicken bites are wrapped in a tasty sauce made with onion, carrot, celery and soy sauce, enriched by the crunchy almond slivers.   • 500 g chicken bites
  • flour
  • 0.5 piece onion
  • 1 piece carrots
  • 2 piece celery stalks
  • 30 g soy sauce
  • 0.5 bicchiere water
  • 20 g almond slivers
  • seed oil

Chop the vegetables

Half an onion, 1 carrot and 2 celery stalks in the bowl and chop for 5 Sec./Stufe 5. Transfer the mixture to a bowl and set aside.

Flour the chicken

In a large bowl, flour 500 g of chicken bites with flour as needed. Make sure they are well covered.

Sauté the vegetables

Pour seed oil as needed into the bowl and add the chopped onion, carrot and celery. Sauté for 3 Min./120°C/Stufe 1.

Brown the chicken

5 min/248°F/Speed 1/Linkslauf 120 Reverse

Add the floured chicken bites to the bowl and brown for 5 Min./120°C/Stufe 1/Linkslauf. Mix gently with the spatula to ensure the chicken browns evenly.

Cook the chicken

Thermomix® Setting
15 min/212°F/Speed 1/Linkslauf 100 Reverse

Deglaze with 30 g of soy sauce and add ½ glass of water. Cook for 15 Min./100°C/Stufe 1/Linkslauf.

Add the almonds

Thermomix® Setting
1 min/Speed 1/Linkslauf Reverse

At the end of cooking, add 20 g of almond slivers and mix for 1 Min./Stufe 1/Linkslauf to obtain a homogeneous dish.
