  • 150 g Diced ham
  • 1 Zwiebel Onion
  • 40 g Butter
  • 40 g Flour
  • 400 ml Milk
  • 100 ml Vegetable broth
  • 100 g Crème fraîche
  • 150 g Grated cheese
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
  • to taste Nutmeg

Peel the onion, halve it and put it in the mixing bowl. Chop 3 sec./level 5.

Deglaze with milk

Thermomix® Setting

Add milk and vegetable stock to the mixing bowl. Cook for 8 min./100°C/level 2. Leave the measuring cup on.

Refine sauce

30 sec/194°F/Speed 2 194°F

Add crème fraîche, salt, pepper and nutmeg to the mixing bowl. Mix 30 sec./90°C/level 2.

Prepare chicory

Clean the chicory, halve it and place it in a baking dish.

Fry ham

Fry the diced ham in a separate pan.

Layer casserole

Pour half of the sauce over the chicory. Distribute diced ham on top and cover with the remaining sauce.

Gratinate cheese

Sprinkle grated cheese over the casserole and bake in a preheated oven at 200°C top/bottom heat for approx. 25 minutes until the cheese is golden brown.
