Description

These homemade churros are a crispy on the outside, tender on the inside treat. The recipe is very simple and perfect to enjoy on a cold afternoon with a cup of hot chocolate. I have always liked churros, and this recipe is the one that has worked best for me to make them at home. They are ideal to share with friends or family, especially during the Christmas holidays. The dough is prepared quickly in the Thermomix®, which makes the process much easier. Go ahead and try them, you will love them!

Ingredients (3 ingredients)

  • 1 cup plain flour
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cucharadita salt

Preparation (5 steps)

Heat the water and salt

Thermomix® Setting
5 min/212°F/Speed 1 100

Add 1 cup of water and 1 teaspoon of salt to the Thermomix bowl. Program 5 Min./100°C/Stufe 1.

Add the flour and mix

Thermomix® Setting
20 sec/Speed 4

Add 1 cup of plain flour to the Thermomix bowl. Mix for 20 Sek./Stufe 4. Lower the remains of the walls of the glass with the spatula.

Knead the dough

Thermomix® Setting
2 min/Kneading speed

Knead the dough for 2 Min./Knetstufe. If the dough is too sticky, add a little more flour. Lower the remains of the walls of the glass with the spatula.

Form the churros

Pour the dough into a pastry bag with a star nozzle. Form the churros on a floured surface or directly on baking paper.

Fry or bake the churros

Fry the churros in hot oil until golden brown. Alternatively, bake at 200°C for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
