Description

This Thermomix® recipe for spicy ginger cookies contains egg, margarine, powdered sugar, ginger and flour. The preparation of the cookies takes about 32 minutes and yields approximately 40 pieces. Ideal as a Christmas finger food or dessert. Suitable for lovers of ginger biscuits and festive occasions.

Ingredients (9 ingredients)

  • 1 Stück Egg (size M)
  • 175 g Margarine
  • 75 g Powdered sugar
  • 125 g Powdered sugar
  • 1 Päckchen Vanilla sugar
  • 2 TL Ground ginger (slightly heaped)
  • 300 g Flour
  • 75 g Ginger candied
  • 1 Stück Baking paper

Preparation (8 steps)

Prepare egg yolk

Separate the egg. The egg white will be needed later for the glaze. Place the egg yolk in the mixing bowl.

Prepare dough

Thermomix® Setting
20 sec/keine/Speed 4

Add 175 g margarine, 75 g powdered sugar, 1 packet of vanilla sugar and 2 tsp of ground ginger to the egg yolk in the mixing bowl and mix for 20 seconds/speed 4 until creamy.

Mix in flour

Thermomix® Setting
30 sec/keine/Speed 4

Add 300 g flour and stir in for 30 seconds/speed 4. Then remove the dough from the mixing bowl and form into a ball with floured hands.

Preheat oven and roll out dough

Preheat the oven to 200 °C (convection: 180 °C). Line a baking sheet with baking paper. Roll out the dough in portions on a floured surface to a thickness of approx. 5 mm. Cut out small dough circles with a small cutter or glass and place on the baking sheet.

Bake ginger cookies

Bake the ginger cookies in the preheated oven for approx. 10-12 minutes until golden brown. Remove from the baking sheet with the baking paper and let cool.

Chop ginger

Put 75 g of candied ginger in the mixing bowl and chop for 5 seconds/speed 5. Transfer.

Prepare glaze

15 sec/keine/Speed 3

Put the egg white and 125 g of powdered sugar in the mixing bowl and mix for 15 seconds/speed 3.

Decorate cookies

Sprinkle the cooled ginger cookies with the glaze using a spoon. Sprinkle with the chopped ginger.
