Description

This hearty cabbage-bell pepper lasagna is an absolute comfort food! I especially like to make it in the autumn when the sauerkraut tastes nice and sour. The combination of the spicy minced meat, the sweet bell pepper and the creamy cream cheese is simply unbeatable. The dish can be prepared well and is therefore ideal for a relaxed dinner with friends or family. If you like it vegetarian, you can simply omit the minced meat or replace it with a plant-based alternative. A dollop of sour cream or yogurt goes perfectly with it. Enjoy your meal!

Ingredients (9 ingredients)

  • 2 piece red bell peppers
  • 500 g Sauerkraut
  • 1 piece Onion
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 250 g Ground beef
  • 2.5 tsp Salt
  • 400 g Pepper
  • 250 ml Milk
  • 250 g Lasagna sheets (no pre-cooking)

Preparation (9 steps)

Prepare bell pepper and sauerkraut

Wash, clean and dice the bell peppers. Drain the sauerkraut and cut it into smaller pieces if necessary. Set both aside.

Chop onion

Peel and quarter the onion and place in the mixing bowl. Chop for 3 sec./speed 5.

Sauté onion

Add 2 tbsp oil to the onions in the mixing bowl and sauté for 3 min./120°C/speed 1.

Fry ground meat

Thermomix® Setting
5 min/Varoma/Speed 1 Varoma

Add the ground beef, 2 tsp salt and 400 g pepper and fry for 5 min./Varoma/speed 1 without a measuring cup. The ground meat should be crumbly.

Add vegetables and sauerkraut

Thermomix® Setting
5 min/212°F/Linkslauf Speed 1 100 Reverse

Add the diced bell peppers and sauerkraut to the mixing bowl. Add 250 ml water and simmer for 5 min./100°C/reverse speed 1.

Season

Season with 0.5 tsp salt and pepper and add more seasoning if necessary.

Prepare cream cheese cream

Mix the cream cheese and milk in a bowl. Season with salt and pepper.

Layer lasagna

Layer the bell pepper cabbage, lasagna sheets and cream cheese cream alternately in a rectangular casserole dish. The bell pepper cabbage should be the last layer.

Bake lasagna

Bake the lasagna in a preheated oven at 180 °C for approx. 35 min.
