Description

These Spanish style stewed lentils are a comforting and flavorful dish, perfect for cold days. The combination of fresh vegetables and aromatic spices creates a delicious and nutritious stew.   • 2 clove Garlic
  • 1 piece Large carrot
  • 1 piece Grated tomato
  • 20 g Extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 piece Medium potato
  • 2 g Sweet paprika
  • 2 g Hot paprika
  • 1 piece Bay leaf
  • 1 l Vegetable broth
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Ground black pepper
  • 300 g Lentils

Chop the vegetables

Peel 1 onion, 2 cloves of garlic and 1 large carrot. Roughly chop and place the vegetables in the Thermomix bowl. Program 8 seconds/speed 6.

Sauté the vegetables

Add 20 g of extra virgin olive oil through the lid. Program 5 minutes/speed 1/temperature 120 ºC. Add 1 grated tomato and program 3 more minutes with the same speed and temperature parameters.

Add grated tomato and sauté

Add 1 grated tomato to the Thermomix bowl. Program 3 minutes/speed 1/temperature 120 ºC.

Cook the lentils

50 min/212°F/Speed 0 100

Peel 2 medium potatoes and break them into pieces. Add them to the Thermomix bowl along with 300 g of lentils, 2 g of sweet paprika, 2 g of hot paprika, 1 bay leaf and 1 l of vegetable broth. Cook for 50 minutes/speed 0/temperature 100 ºC.

If you want the lentils thicker and creamier, separate a saucepan of lentils, a couple of pieces of potato and a little broth and blend in the Thermomix for 30 seconds/speed 10. Return to the stew and stir to integrate.
