Description

This dish of macaroni cheese bake is a real comforting treat, perfect for autumn or winter evenings. I love preparing this simple and quick recipe, ideal for a family meal. The macaroni are cooked directly in the Thermomix®, then baked with ham and cheese. Fresh cream brings an irresistible smoothness. It's a complete and tasty dish that will surely please young and old alike. Feel free to add a pinch of nutmeg to enhance the taste!

  • 300 g macaroni
  • 3 slice ham cut into squares
  • 10 cl fresh cream
  • 100 g grated gruyere
  • to taste olive oil
  • to taste fine salt

Preparation (4 steps)

Cooking the macaroni

Thermomix® Setting
3 min/248°F/Speed 1 120

Put the macaroni in the bowl of the Thermomix. Add olive oil (about 20 ml) and sauté 3 Min./120°C/Stufe 1. Then add water (about 700 ml) until it covers the pasta, and a pinch of salt. Cook 15 Min./100°C/Stufe 1/Linkslauf. Check the cooking and extend if necessary.

Adding ham and cheese

Thermomix® Setting
1 min/140°F/Speed 1 60 Reverse

Add the diced ham (3 slices) and grated gruyere (100 g) to the bowl of the Thermomix. Mix gently 1 Min./60°C/Stufe 1/Linkslauf, until the cheese is melted.

Incorporating fresh cream

Thermomix® Setting
1 min/140°F/Speed 1 60 Reverse

Add the fresh cream (10 cl) to the bowl of the Thermomix. Heat 1 Min./60°C/Stufe 1/Linkslauf, until it heats slightly.

Serve hot

Serve the macaroni cheese bake hot. Enjoy immediately.
