Description

This crispy macaroni gratin is a comforting and easy to prepare dish, perfect for a family dinner or with friends. I love this recipe because it's quick and uses simple ingredients that I always have on hand. The crispy breadcrumbs with Emmental bring an irresistible texture that contrasts with the creaminess of the pasta. A real delight! Feel free to add seasonal vegetables for a more complete version. This dish is particularly appreciated in autumn and winter, but it is delicious all year round. A simple, tasty and economical dish that is sure to please!

Ingredients (9 ingredients)

  • 360 g macaroni
  • 2 slice soft bread
  • 120 g fresh cheese
  • 100 ml milk
  • 20 g butter
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 60 g grated emmental
  • to taste Salt or fine salt
  • to taste Pepper

Preparation (6 steps)

Melted garlic and butter

Thermomix® Setting
3 min/140°F/Speed 2 60

Put 20 g of butter and 1 clove of garlic in the Thermomix bowl. Melt for 3 Min./60°C/Stufe 2. Remove the garlic once golden.

Cheese cream

Thermomix® Setting
5 min/194°F/Speed 3 90

Add 100 ml of milk and 120 g of fresh cheese to the Thermomix bowl. Simmer for 5 Min./90°C/Stufe 3. Salt and pepper according to your taste.

Cooking the pasta

Cook 360 g of macaroni in a saucepan of boiling salted water until they are “al dente”. Drain the pasta.

Mixing pasta and cream

Pour the drained pasta into a buttered gratin dish. Add the hot cream and mix gently.

Preparing the breadcrumbs

Thermomix® Setting
10 sec/Speed 7

Put 2 slices of soft bread and 60 g of grated Emmental in the Thermomix bowl. Mix for 10 Sek./Stufe 7.

Gratinating the pasta

Sprinkle the pasta with the bread and Emmental mixture. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for about 10 minutes, or until the breadcrumbs are golden and crispy.
