Description

With this recipe you can easily make cream cheese yourself. The main ingredients are milk, lemon juice and herbs. The cream cheese is vegetarian and is ideal as a breakfast spread or as a dip for finger food. The preparation time is approx. 2 hours and is enough for one serving.

Ingredients (6 ingredients)

  • 2 Liter Fresh milk (3.5%)
  • 5 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 3 tbsp Sour cream or sour cream
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 3 tbsp Fresh herbs (of your choice)
  • 2 Zehe/n Garlic (cloves)

Heat milk

Put 2 liters of fresh milk (3.5%) into the mixing bowl and heat for 15 min./90°C/speed 2. Be sure to stay with it and stir repeatedly with the spatula.

Stir in salt and lemon juice

Add 1 tsp salt and 5 tbsp lemon juice to the mixing bowl and stir in for 1 min./90°C/speed 2 reverse.

Let it simmer

Let the milk simmer gently until the whey has separated from the milk protein. This is easy to see because the milk "splits" into two.

Cool and drain

Pour the mixture into a sieve lined with a clean cloth and let it drain. The longer the mixture drains, the firmer the cream cheese becomes.

Add herbs and garlic

Put 3 heaped tbsp sour cream or sour cream, 3 tbsp fresh herbs (of your choice) and 2 clove/s garlic (cloves) into the mixing bowl. Place the WunderSlicer V2 on the mixing bowl lid, select the fine slice and add the garlic. Collect the cut material and mix together with the remaining ingredients for 30 sec./speed 3.
