About this recipe

These Mini Bacon Cheeseburger Sliders have become a staple at my gatherings, a guaranteed crowd-pleaser that I've been perfecting for years. The inspiration came from a desire to create a bite-sized version of a classic comfort food, something easy to eat while mingling but packed with flavor. The addition of bacon directly into the ground beef mixture was a game-changer, adding a smoky depth that elevates these sliders beyond your average mini-burger. The key to these sliders is the balance of flavors and textures. The 93% lean ground beef provides a solid foundation, while the crispy bacon, finely chopped in the Thermomix®, infuses every bite with its salty, smoky goodness. Panko bread crumbs act as a binder, keeping the patties moist and preventing them from becoming too dense. The barbeque sauce adds a touch of sweetness and tang, complementing the savory beef and bacon. A dash of steak sauce provides an extra layer of umami, enhancing the overall flavor profile. Pepper Jack cheese melts beautifully over the patties, adding a creamy, spicy kick. Using the Thermomix® streamlines the preparation process. Chopping the bacon in the Thermomix® ensures a consistent texture and prevents large chunks that could make the patties difficult to form. Remember to scrape down the sides of the bowl after chopping to ensure even distribution. When mixing the ground beef mixture, avoid overmixing, as this can result in tough patties. Gently combine the ingredients until just incorporated. For perfectly round sliders, use a 2-inch cookie cutter or a slider press. For vegetarian or vegan variations, consider using plant-based ground meat alternatives and vegan bacon. Experiment with different spices and herbs to customize the flavor profile. Smoked paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder are excellent additions. You can also add finely diced vegetables like bell peppers or zucchini to the ground meat mixture for added nutrients and texture. Serve these Mini Bacon Cheeseburger Sliders with a variety of toppings and sides. Offer a selection of sauces, such as ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise, and sriracha mayo. Pickled onions, sliced pickles, and shredded lettuce are also great additions. For sides, consider serving coleslaw, potato salad, or sweet potato fries. These sliders are also delicious served with a simple green salad. To prepare ahead of time, you can form the patties and store them in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours. Cooked sliders can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat them in the oven or microwave until warmed through. For longer storage, freeze the cooked patties in a single layer on a baking sheet before transferring them to a freezer bag.
