Description

Delicious homemade orange and cinnamon marmalade, perfect for Christmas or as a gift.

Ingredients (5 ingredients)

  • 1 kg Oranges
  • 2 Stück Lemons
  • 500 g Gelling Sugar 2:1
  • 1 Stück Cinnamon stick
  • 3 Stück Cloves

Preparation (7 steps)

Prepare oranges

Wash the oranges in hot water, dry them and peel the skin thinly with a knife. Cut the peel into fine strips or peel with a zester. Peel the oranges so that the white skin is completely removed. Cut the pulp into small pieces, removing any existing seeds.

Prepare lemons

Wash the lemons in hot water, dry them and peel the skin thinly with a knife. Cut the peel into fine strips or peel with a zester. Peel the lemons so that the white skin is completely removed. Cut the pulp into small pieces, removing any existing seeds.

Mix fruits and gelling sugar

Put orange pieces, orange peels, lemon pieces, lemon peels, gelling sugar, cinnamon stick and cloves into the mixing bowl.

Cook marmalade

Thermomix® Setting
25 min/212°F/Speed 2 212°F

Cook everything for 25 Min./100°C/Stufe 2 without the measuring cup. Use a spatula to stir.

Perform gel test

Place a few drops of the hot marmalade on a cold plate. If the marmalade sets quickly, it is ready. If not, let the marmalade cook for another 5 Min./100°C/Stufe 2 without the measuring cup and repeat the gel test.

Remove cinnamon stick and cloves

Remove the cinnamon stick and cloves from the mixing bowl with the spatula.

Fill marmalade

Immediately fill the hot marmalade into clean, prepared jars and close them. Turn the jars upside down for a few minutes.
