Description

These almond sliver meringue cookies are a simple Christmas dessert, prepared in the Thermomix®. The main ingredients are egg whites, powdered sugar, and almonds. Preparation takes a total of 95 minutes, including 20 minutes of active work, and yields about 40 cookies. Ideal as finger food for the winter coffee table or as a sweet treat for the whole family.

Ingredients (6 ingredients)

  • 3 Stück Egg whites (M)
  • 1 Prise Salt
  • 250 g Powdered sugar
  • 250 g Almonds (ground)
  • 50 g Almond slivers
  • 1 TL Cinnamon (ground)

Preparation (6 steps)

Whisk egg whites until stiff

Insert the butterfly whisk. Add 3 egg whites (M) and 1 pinch of salt to the mixing bowl and whisk for 3 min./speed 3.5 until stiff. Remove the butterfly whisk and transfer the egg whites.

Sprinkle in powdered sugar

Return the egg whites to the mixing bowl. Add 250 g powdered sugar spoonful by spoonful through the lid opening and stir in for 1 min./speed 3. Use a spatula to scrape everything down from the sides.

Fold in almonds

20 sec/Linkslauf/Speed 2 Reverse

Add 250 g ground almonds to the mixing bowl and fold in for 20 sec./Reverse/speed 2. Use a spatula to scrape everything down from the sides.

Shape and sprinkle cookies

Preheat the oven to 150 °C circulating air. Place approx. 2 tsp small heaps of meringue per cookie on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Sprinkle the meringue mounds with 50 g almond slivers, press down lightly, and dust with 1 tsp ground cinnamon.

Bake cookies

Place the cookies in the oven and reduce the temperature to 130 °C circulating air. Bake the cookies for approx. 45 minutes.

Let cool and dry

Let the cookies cool and dry for approx. 30 minutes.
