Description

These homemade wholemeal buns are a delight for any time of day. The recipe is simple, although it requires a little patience for the dough to rise. Ingredients (8 ingredients)

  • 240 mililitros water
  • 60 mililitros milk
  • 28 gramos butter
  • 600 gramos flour
  • 7 gramos dry yeast
  • 2 cucharadas soperas sugar
  • 1.5 cucharaditas salt
  • 2 piece beaten eggs

Heat liquids and butter

Pour 240 ml of water, 60 ml of milk and 28 g of butter into the Thermomix bowl. Program 1 Min./50°C/Stufe 2 to melt the butter.

Mix dry ingredients

Add to the bowl 600 g of flour, 7 g of dry yeast, 2 tablespoons of sugar and 1½ teaspoons of salt. Mix 10 Sek./Stufe 4.

Add liquids and egg

Thermomix® Setting
3 min/Kneading speed

Add 2 beaten eggs to the bowl. Program 3 Min./Knetstufe to knead.

First rising

Remove the dough from the bowl and form a ball. Place in a lightly floured bowl, cover with a cloth and let rest in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Form the buns

Divide the dough into 8 equal portions. Form cylinders of 15 centimeters. Place on an oiled baking sheet, leaving space between each dough.

Second rising

Let the doughs rest again in a warm space for 30 minutes or until the buns grow.

Bake

Preheat the oven to 200°C. Bake for approximately 15-20 minutes with heat up and down or until each bun is evenly golden brown.
