Description

These Greek meatballs are an explosion of Mediterranean flavor. The combination of juicy minced meat, creamy feta cheese and sweet cherry tomatoes is simply delicious. Perfect for a family meal or a casual dinner with friends. The recipe is very easy to prepare with the Thermomix®, making it an ideal option for any day of the week. The touch of oregano and black pepper further enhances the flavor of these meatballs. Accompany them with a good red wine and bread to enjoy to the fullest!

Ingredients (9 ingredients)

  • 350 gramos Minced meat
  • 100 gramos Feta cheese
  • 10 unidades Cherry tomato
  • 15 unidades Black olives
  • 250 gramos Tomato sauce
  • 1 chorro Oil
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 pinch Oregano
  • 1 pinch Black pepper

Preparation (6 steps)

Preparation of the minced meat

In a large bowl, mix 350 grams of minced meat (mixture of beef and pork) with 1 pinch of salt, 1 pinch of oregano and 1 pinch of black pepper. Mix well with your hands.

Form the meatballs with feta

Take portions of the minced meat mixture and form small balls. Insert 2-3 pieces of feta cheese (from the 100 grams) into the center of each meatball. Close the meatball well, making sure that the cheese is completely covered.

Brown the meatballs in the pan

In a large frying pan, heat a splash of oil over low heat. Place the meatballs in the pan and brown them on all sides for approximately 15 minutes, turning them occasionally so that they cook evenly.

Add the cherry tomatoes

Add 10 units of cherry tomatoes cut in half to the pan with the meatballs. Cook for 5 more minutes over low heat, stirring occasionally.

Incorporate the tomato sauce and olives

Pour 250 grams of tomato sauce into the pan. Add 15 units of black olives. Adjust salt, oregano and black pepper to taste. Turn the heat up a little and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Add the feta cheese and serve

Add the rest of the feta cheese (already diced) to the pan. Turn up the heat and cook for a few minutes, stirring gently until the cheese is slightly heated. Serve hot.
