Description

This stewed chicken is a comforting and flavorful dish, perfect for a family meal or a special dinner. The combination of garlic, rosemary, bay leaf and fresh vegetables creates an irresistible aroma that evokes Mediterranean cuisine. Preparing it in the Thermomix® greatly facilitates the process, allowing the flavors to mix perfectly. I often make it in winter, and it's always a hit! It can be accompanied with white rice or steamed potatoes. A simple but delicious recipe!

Ingredients (12 ingredients)

  • 0.5 piece head of garlic
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 rama rosemary
  • 3 hojas bay leaf
  • 3 piece tomatoes cut in four parts
  • 2 piece medium carrots cut in large slices
  • 1 piece leek cut
  • 1 piece whole chicken
  • 4 tazones water
  • 2 piece concentrated chicken stock cubes
  • 2 piece onions chopped in four parts
  • to taste chopped parsley

Preparation (7 steps)

Preparation of the ingredients

Peel half the head of garlic and reserve. Cut the tomatoes into four parts. Peel and cut the carrots into large slices. Cut the leek into pieces. Chop the onions into four parts. Finely chop the parsley and reserve.

Introduce ingredients in the Thermomix

Introduce into the Thermomix bowl half the head of garlic, the oil, the rosemary sprig, the bay leaves, the cut tomatoes, the sliced carrots, the cut leek, the concentrated chicken stock cubes, the chopped onions and the water.

Cook the chicken

Thermomix® Setting
30 min/Varoma/velocidad 1 Varoma

Place the whole chicken inside the bowl, on top of the ingredients. Close the Thermomix and program 30 min/Varoma/speed 1.

Check cooking and prolong if necessary

Thermomix® Setting
15 min/Varoma/velocidad 1 Varoma

Check that the chicken is well cooked. If the chicken was frozen, program 15 more minutes at Varoma/speed 1.

Remove the chicken and prepare the sauce

Remove the chicken from the Thermomix and cut it into pieces. Reserve. Pour the broth and cooked vegetables into the Thermomix bowl.

Crush the sauce

Thermomix® Setting

Crush the sauce programming 1 Min./speed 10. Check the consistency and crush a few more seconds if necessary.

Season and serve

Season the sauce with salt to taste, if necessary. Pour the sauce over the chicken pieces. Sprinkle with chopped parsley and serve hot.
