Description

Spit cake tips are a festive dessert that is easily prepared with the Thermomix®. The main ingredients are butter, sugar, eggs and flour, refined with rum. The preparation time is 120 minutes, of which 60 minutes is active working time, and yields about 72 spit cake tips. Ideal as finger food for special occasions or the Christmas season. Suitable for those who like to bake and are looking for a special dessert.

Ingredients (11 ingredients)

  • 600 g Butter
  • 600 g Sugar
  • 3 Päckchen Vanilla sugar
  • nach Geschmack Salt
  • 15 Stück Eggs (size M)
  • 300 g Cornstarch
  • 100 ml Brown rum (40 % vol)
  • 350 g Flour
  • 1.5 Päckchen Baking powder
  • 600 g Bittersweet chocolate coating
  • 2 Würfel Coconut fat

Preparation (7 steps)

Mix butter, sugar and vanilla sugar

Put 600 g soft butter, 600 g sugar and 3 packets vanilla sugar into the mixing bowl and mix for 3 min./speed 4.

Add eggs individually

Add 15 eggs (size M) individually through the lid opening and mix for 15 sec./speed 4 each time.

Add rum and salt

Add 100 ml brown rum (40 % vol) and a pinch of salt and mix for 10 sec./speed 3.

Mix flour and cornstarch and stir in

Mix 350 g flour, 50 g + 250 g cornstarch and 1 1/2 packets of baking powder, add to the mixing bowl and stir in for 30 sec./speed 4.

Bake spit cake tips

Place the dough in portions on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and bake in a preheated oven at 200°C top/bottom heat for approx. 10-12 minutes. Allow to cool after baking.

Melt chocolate coating

Put 600 g bittersweet chocolate coating and 2 cubes of coconut fat in pieces into the mixing bowl and melt for 5 min./50°C/speed 2.

Cover spit cake tips

Dip the cooled spit cake tips in the melted chocolate coating and let them drain on a wire rack. Garnish with almonds or other decorations as desired.
