Raisin cake recipe

Ingredients (8 ingredients)

  • 4 Stück Eggs
  • 200 g Granulated sugar
  • 200 ml Cooking oil
  • 250 ml Milk
  • 1 Päckchen Vanilla sugar
  • 1 Päckchen Baking powder
  • 500 g Flour
  • 200 g Raisins

Preparation (8 steps)

Beat eggs and sugar

Add 4 eggs and 200 ml granulated sugar to the mixing bowl and beat for 3 min/speed 4 until the mixture is foamy.

Add liquid ingredients

Add 200 ml cooking oil and 200 ml milk to the egg-sugar mixture in the mixing bowl and stir for 20 sec/speed 3.

Sift and mix dry ingredients

Sift 500 g flour, 1 packet baking powder and 1 packet vanilla sugar into a separate bowl. Then add the sifted ingredients to the mixing bowl and stir for 30 sec/speed 4.

Prepare raisins

Dust 1 jar of raisins with some flour so that they do not sink to the bottom during baking. Set the floured raisins aside.

Fill dough into mold and distribute raisins

Grease a cake tin. Pour a little more than half of the dough into the mold. Spread the floured raisins on the dough. Pour the remaining dough over the raisins.

Bake cake

Bake the cake in a preheated oven at 170 °C for approx. 35–40 minutes. Do a stick test to make sure the cake is baked through.

Let cake cool

Let the cake rest in the mold for 10 minutes after baking before removing it from the mold.

Serve cake

Sprinkle the cooled cake with powdered sugar as desired and serve.
