Description

This quick red wine sauce from the Thermomix® is ideal for festive occasions or as an accompaniment to hearty main courses. With shallots, red wine, beef stock and a touch of balsamic vinegar, an aromatic sauce for 4 servings is created in just 20 minutes. Ingredients (11 ingredients)

  • 3 Stück Shallots, halved
  • 40 g Butter
  • 250 g Dry red wine
  • 150 g Beef stock
  • 1 EL Tomato paste
  • 1 EL Balsamic vinegar
  • 1 EL Honey
  • 1 TL Vegetable spice paste
  • 1 TL Rosemary
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Preparation (4 steps)

Chop shallots

Add 3 shallots, halved, to the mixing bowl and chop for 5 sec./speed 5. Scrape down with the spatula.

Sauté shallots

Add 40 g butter and sauté without measuring cup for 3 min./120°C/speed 1.

Cook sauce

Add 250 g dry red wine, 150 g beef stock, 1 tbsp tomato paste, 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar, 1 tbsp honey, 1 tsp vegetable spice paste and 1 tsp rosemary to the mixing bowl and cook without measuring cup for 12 min./100°C/speed 2, placing the splash guard on top.

Season sauce

Season the sauce with salt and pepper, strain through a sieve if desired and serve.
