Description

This lemon chicken with potatoes is a classic of Italian cuisine, revisited to be easily prepared with the Thermomix®. The tender and juicy meat, flavored with lemon and oregano, goes perfectly with rustic potatoes. A perfect single dish for a family lunch or a dinner with friends. I prepare it often, because it is simple, tasty and everyone likes it! Ideal to serve hot, perhaps accompanied by a side of fresh vegetables. A true comfort food!

Ingredients (9 ingredients)

8 pezzi Chicken
1 kg Potatoes
2 pezzi Lemon
2 cucchiaini Dried oregano
500 ml Chicken broth
2 clove Garlic
4 cucchiai Extra virgin olive oil
1 pinch Salt

Preparation (5 steps)

Chicken preparation

Divide the chicken into 8 pieces and place them in a pan with high sides. Add the extra virgin olive oil and the whole garlic cloves. Brown the meat evenly on all sides over medium heat.

Lemon squeezing

Squeeze the lemons to extract the juice. Set aside.

Cooking in the Thermomix

Transfer the browned chicken to the Thermomix bowl. Add the dried oregano, coarsely chopped potatoes, lemon juice, salt and chicken broth. Close the bowl and cook for 60 Min./100°C/Stufe 1.

Transfer to baking sheet and au gratin

Transfer the chicken and potatoes to a baking sheet greased with extra virgin olive oil. Drizzle with more extra virgin olive oil and bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for about 5-10 minutes, until a golden crust forms.
