Description

Jam thumbprint cookies are a Christmas Thermomix® recipe for about 32 cookies. Preparation with egg yolks, margarine, sugar, vanilla sugar and flour takes about 105 minutes. Ideal as a simple finger food or dessert in the winter. Particularly suitable for families and anyone who loves classic Christmas cookies.

Ingredients (6 ingredients)

  • 2 Stück Egg yolks
  • 140 g Margarine (room temperature)
  • 70 g Sugar
  • 1 Päckchen Vanilla sugar
  • 170 g Flour
  • 100 g Jam or jelly

Preparation (6 steps)

Mix egg yolks, margarine, sugar and vanilla sugar

30 sec/keine/Speed 4

Place 2 egg yolks, 140 g room temperature margarine, 70 g sugar and 1 packet of vanilla sugar into the mixing bowl and mix for 30 sec/speed 4 until a smooth mixture is formed.

Add flour and mix

Thermomix® Setting
20 sec/keine/Speed 3

Add 170 g flour and mix for 20 sec/speed 3 until a dough forms. If necessary, scrape down the sides with the spatula and mix briefly again.

Chill the dough

Remove the dough from the mixing bowl, wrap in cling film and refrigerate for 60 minutes.

Preheat the oven and shape the dough

Preheat the oven to 160 °C (convection: 140 °C). With floured hands, form approx. 32 walnut-sized balls from the chilled dough and place on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Press a hollow into the middle of the balls with the handle of a cooking spoon or a finger.

Prepare the jam

Place 100 g jam into the mixing bowl and mix until smooth for 10 sec/speed 3. If necessary, heat briefly if the jam is too firm.

Fill with jam and bake

Fill the jam into the indentations of the cookies using a piping bag or a spoon. Place the baking tray in the preheated oven and bake the cookies for approx. 10 minutes.
